About the Fund
Medical school educators play an integral role in NBME’s work. Each year, faculty from across the United States collaborate with NBME staff to write and review exam items, helping to ensure that content stays up to date with medical school curriculum.
Through the Strategic Educators Enhancement Fund (SEEF), NBME seeks to support the medical education community by providing professional development opportunities for faculty who are new to assessment.
In addition to helping educators gain a better understanding of assessment principles, the SEEF also promotes assessment-focused research to drive future innovations in the field.

SEEF Fellowship
The SEEF Fellowship helps faculty in the early stages of their career to develop skills in medical education and assessment research.
NBME Invitational Conference for Educators (NICE)
The NICE helps foster assessment skills and provides a networking venue for the faculty attendees.
SEEF Volunteers
The Strategic Educators Enhancement Fund also serves to strengthen connections with our volunteers, who make up NBME’s test development committees.
